Silicone Bracelets Good Fund Raising Idea
March 26th, 2009
Organizations, groups and charitable institutions, at times, hold events or activities for the purpose of raising funds. This is especially true for those that are holding awareness projects or are holding benefit activities. These fundraising projects range from extravagant social dinners for the upper class to simple selling and vending of goods and products.
For a noble act that aims to provide or at least assist the financial needs of needy people or communities, fund raising projects could sometimes be very expensive. Before you could even begin raising funds, you will have to shell out or spend tons of money hoping to earn more to give to your beneficiaries. The likes of these are: benefit concerts, parties, raffles and other fund raising events.
Projects like these doesn’t have to be this expensive. You could actually come up with activities that doesn’t necessarily require the organization or group to spend a lot before raising the money. Girl scouts have been doing it by selling home baked cookies, while some even sell shirts, stickers and CD’s. Now, to add to the options or ideas for benefit activities, you could include the sale of silicone bracelets.
Silicone bracelets, as compared to other products that could be sold could be a lot more effective in raising funds. The reason for this is that Silicone bands don’t spoil. Unlike cookies or cakes, this cheap accessory doesn’t have a shelf life or an expiration date. You could also include a short and memorable message to your silicone band that could be imprinted on the minds of people who would see it. In this manner, you not only raise funds when people purchase your product, you could also spread your message directly to the buyers and indirectly to people they meet on the streets everyday.
One more advantage of silicone bands over other fundraising materials is that silicone bands could be worn everyday. It’s so easy to clean that you don’t have to worry about washing it and waiting for it to dry like shirts.
Therefore, in my opinion, the use of silicone bracelets for benefit activities would be a really good idea. You could hit two birds with one stone (raise funds and spread awareness) for a very affordable price.
